Liriyana stood at the very end of the long drive way that led to the school, her hair up in a messy bun and blowing slightly in the wind. A thin cotton dress clung loosely to her body, defining her curves and giving her a somewhat 'innocent' air. She stood with her hands clasped behind her back, resting against the small of her back as she slowly rocked on the heels of her feet, a pair of white sandles covering them. She was a bit afraid of making her way to the school, afraid of not knowing what to expect, afraid of the people. She had never been around other people, never talked to others except her family and the ones that they hired. She chewed her bottom lip nervously as she debated wether or not to approach the school or just stay out here for longer... Neither could hurt her that much.
Liri let out a sigh as she turned her attention from the large school to a small bird that flew over head, whistling loudly to nothing in particular. A small smile crossed her lips as she recalled one of the many times she had turned into a bird such as this one, flying around, so free. As the bird flew on Liri's smile faded as her eyes moved to the darkening sky above her. It seemed that she was destined to head to the school, no longer could she stand out here, not with rain coming. She let out another sigh as she flicked her eyes back to the school, slowly walking forward and begining to hum an old song she really didn't know where she learned it at. "There's a first time for everything." She told herself as she walked down the long gravel road, her dress flirting around her ankles as the wind picked up.

"Okay- you need to work with me now. Just- just do it and I promise I won't make you do it again."
His voice was dripping with a type of desperate aggrivation that only came with serious persistance. Anyone who looked upon this casually-dressed figure would think he was some psychotic young man speaking to the air. Stuck upon the lawns of the school, Brad Redfield found himself struggling to manipulate one of his spells. If the d**n thing worked correctly, he would be able to call on some overcast skies. Unfortunately, all he could manage was a stray storm cloud or two.
He lifted his staff very slightly, his arm extending at a 180 degree angle in front of his body. Muttering some ancient words, Brad found his eyes sealed tightly as though expecting that to help. No, it was more of a way for him to build up false hope. When a cool breeze and light rumbling called on from the sky, Brad found that his eyes parted and quite widely at that. He stared up into the once-clear skies and watched as they were stained with blotches of dark gray. Brad smiled victoriously.
"Whoo!" He cried out joyfully, dropping to his knees on the trimmed grass and beaming up at the sky. Yes, if there had been any onlookers they would have sincerely questioned his sanity. "What're they teaching these kids?" they would most likely ask themselves as they passed by.

Liriyana paused in her tracks at the sound of someone else. Turning slowly Liri's eyes rested upon a male that looked to be around the same age as herself who was knelt on the ground yelling. She glanced at the school once before changing directions and heading towards the male. She gave him a small smile and stopped a few feet away from him, tilting her head slightly. "Uh... Hello." She said quietly, as she once more placed her hands behind her back, leaning back onto her heels.

Brad panted madly as he felt the energy within him slowly building back up. That last spell had certainly swept a lot out of him. His neck tired from craning to stare upward, and he brought his eyes back down to scan the surrounding area. One particular girl came strolling in his direction, appearing somewhat curious by the expression written on her face. He eyed her as she stopped, a mild smile forming on his full lips. "Hey," Brad greeted her calmly, picking himself up from the ground to raise up over her. "Are you new here?" He questioned softly before taking a deep breath and inhaling the fragrance of the air.

Liriyana nodded, keeping her eyes on him all the while. "Mmmhm. I just got here.. Not even 20 minutes ago." She said, her voice light and airy. She glanced back at the castle, almost a little afraid of going in. With a small shrug of her shoulders she turned her gaze back to him. "You gone here long?" She asked curiously, brushing a stray strand of hair out of her eyes. "I'm Liriyana by the way.. You can call me Liri." She added.

"Wow, so you must be pretty excited, huh? That... or nervous," He finalized, smirking at the thought before offering her a look of reassurance. Most kids that came to the institute felt pretty at-home and always adapted to the environment. Of course... they didn't really have much of a choice. "Me? Oh yeah, I've been here four years. It's a great school once you get used to all the people." Brad commented, not sure how that would really come off to Liri.
"Nice to meet you, Liri. I'm Brad," He replied warmly, nodding gently before ushering a glance back at the skies. If he didn't call off his spell the pair might be in for a slight shower. On second thought, was that really such a bad thing? He doubted that Liri was allergic to water.
